Cancel the new game of the creators of Mafia 3 and leave losses of more than 50 million
Hangar 13, Study Developer of Mafia 3 and in charge of the recent Adaptation Mafia: Definitive Edition, are news and not by good things. I wish it was like that. Apparently, Take-Two, a parent company, has canceled the new study project that was under development, leaving millionaire losses and, probably, although it has not yet transcended, many employees on the street.
According to the journalist Jason Schreier, by Bloomberg, Take-Two has canceled the game with name in Volr code, and speak of losses of 53 million dollars on the occasion of not continuing the development of a game not announced. The firm has preferred to renounce the project, with those losses, rather than moving forward.
What game was that Volt? That idea raised it about 5 years ago, but it did not go from a mere approach. There is also talk of an open world game inspired by the Universe of Cthulhu, but nothing that can be rendered.
It will be necessary to wait to learn more about it and, especially, what it sties to employees. At the moment, it is not known if there have been dismissal for this situation, have been relocated or continued with another project.
